Libram

Terms of service

Effective September 2, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Libram website, the public demo workspace, the sign-in relay, and any Libram workspace we host ("the Services"). By using the Services you agree to them.

1. What the Services are

Libram is collaborative markdown documentation software. It is designed to be self-hosted; workspaces run by other people on their own infrastructure are governed by that operator's terms, not these. The public demo at demo.libram.dev is a shared, periodically reset sandbox provided so you can try Libram — it is not a place to keep anything.

2. Accounts

You sign in with a Google or GitHub account. You are responsible for the security of that account and for everything done through your Libram account, including by API tokens and integrations you create. Keep your tokens secret; revoke any you believe are compromised. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use the Services.

3. Your content

You own the documents, comments, and files you contribute. You grant us the limited license needed to store, display, transmit, and process that content in order to operate the Services — for example, syncing it to your collaborators, searching it, generating automatic summaries, and serving docs you choose to publish. If you publish a doc, you're granting anyone with the link the right to view it. In a shared workspace, other members can edit and build on what you've written; that's how collaborative docs work.

You're responsible for having the rights to anything you add, and for any content you deliberately make public.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the Services to:

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, without notice where necessary.

5. Agents and integrations

The Services expose an API and an MCP server so that software you choose can act on your behalf. Anything a tool does with your credentials is treated as done by you. When you authorize a third-party tool, you're also agreeing to that tool's terms; we don't control it and aren't responsible for what it does with content it reads.

6. The demo workspace

The demo is public and open to anyone who signs in. Everything in it — including your account — is deleted on a recurring schedule, and may be deleted at any other time without notice. Don't put anything private, sensitive, or that you need to keep in the demo. Other people can see and edit what you write there.

7. Availability and changes

Libram is in early access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, and we make no commitment to uptime, backups, or data retention for the hosted Services. We'll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

8. Privacy

Our privacy policy describes what information we collect and how we use it, including the limited profile information we receive from Google and GitHub. It is part of these terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that your content will not be lost.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim, or US $100.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Services at any time, and can ask us to delete your account as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the Services. Sections 3, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.

12. General

These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. We may update these terms; we'll change the date at the top, and material changes will be announced on this site or to workspace members. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
